My Hobbies
Listen to music & DJ in
I like all kinds of music from soul to hard rock. Specially Hip-Hop & R n B. It doesn’t matter whether it is English, Sinhalese, Tamil or Hindi. I truly believe music is a global language. It can really touch the human heart. To me, Sinhalese music are more sensitive, may be because I’m a native Sinhalese.
When I'm studying for my examinations, I used to listen to music from my CD walkman. That really concentrates me on to what I’m reading or writing. No disturbances, even the whole world is melt down.
I like parties. I’d like to dance until the end of the party. That giving me a lot of pleasure. I have some friends who are professional DJs. Therefore when I have time I join with them. I have played with DENON HD2500 & American DJ consoles. Now I'm addicted to Virtual DJ 5.0. I'm an expert user of VDJ & I have a huge collection of plugins, sound effects & skins for VDJ. I'm planning to buy an external controller for that. My favorite artists are Creed, Base Hunter, Bryan Adams, Linkin Park, Nelly, Justin Timberlake, Eminum.
Rugby
I don't like cricket but I love Rugby. I have played nearly 2 & 1/2 years rugby in the university. My place was Hooker. I also like to watch rugby matches. Playing rugby have given me lot of lessons about team work, defense, go to the wining post by breaking barriers, etc.
Reading books & technical articles
I don’t like to read Novels, but of course I have red some good novels. I used to read computer magazines. I’m gadget addicted. Therefore I’d like to update my knowledge in new trend in technologies, specially in mobile technologies.
I also like to read books about Psychology, Buddhism, Quantum physics & hyper physics, Computer programming books (C#, Java, ASP.net), GIS/Remote Sensing, etc. Actually I have a very good collection of books in my bookshelf.
Traveling
I'd like to travel either with my family or with my friends. Each & every year me & my friends are going our annual trip to Nuwara Eliya or some other country side area. I have also explore the beauty of Sinharaja forest, with our university explorers club. That trip was really interesting.
